Which country would you recommend for the us retired senior to live?

by admin on December 31, 2008

I am a retired us citizen.I am interested in living in the other country. which country would you recommend ? especially in living cost, medical benefit, crime free. mild weather, and residency security etc.

I live part-time in Hungary because it is not too expensive, food is very good and fresh also low cost, dentists and doctors are reasonable so I can afford to pay cash to them.
they have 4 seasons here but the winter is not too bad (I used to live in Hawaii so I can't take it toocold.)
We purchased an apt. for cash at a faction of what it would be in any other European city.
There are many Americans here and they have clubs to get together if you miss Americans.
Lots of people speak English here and you can purcahse property even if you are not a citizen.
Crime is low except of course every country has a few bad seeds.
People are friendly and mostly private.
We are planning on retireing here in a few years when we are of age to do so. My husband speaks the language so it does make it a bit easier.
I have also heard that Spain is a good place but the cost is going up there.
You can live on American social security here in Hungary without to much worry.

our country was being run by a dick a bush and a colon, why did he retire?

America. I would suggest Israel, but it was ruled out with mild weather.

Onpage, England has a lot of rain, add being old and bored and lots of rain, just like seattle high suicide rates, do you hate old people so your telling him this, + England SUCKS.

Costa Rica.

I lived in the Philippines for nearly 7 years. No matter what you hear, cross that off your list.

PHILIPPINES, there are over 200,000 Americans that live within the Philippine Islands, Cebu is going to be building a new Hospital that will accept US Blue Cross and Medicaid. I know one American that are living here on just 600usd per month retirement, but anything over 1,000usd a month you can live like a King depending on the Island you choose.

Costa Rica has areas that are a constant 70, near the ocean, with lots of other Americans.

Plus, life expectancy is slightly longer than the US, they have the same quality hospitals, plus, wonderful natural fruits and veggies, nice people, interesting culture.

Go to africa and play with wildlife. it is good too! I lived here in tanzania for 2o years. I love it I have 5 miles of land and no tax and local people are very lovely and friendly. The only thing here if you ger sick, you need a some medication back up before you go to regional hospital,.. which takes a while. It is very nice here.
Africans and africa is very nice.
