Where is the best place to live in the future, considering climate change effects in different countries.?

by admin on August 19, 2008

I live in Florida now and am thinking about moving to another country. With all the predictions on what will happen in the future with global warming i'd like to take that into account when deciding which country to live in. Heath care is also important to me.

HEAVEN.

Hello All. I wish you to kindly tell between these two countries the best to live and raise kids?

Well, you need to do your homework, and to not worry too much just now. The 'free' health care of Europe kills middle-class people that can't afford to wait in years-long lines for life-saving procedures. You're pretty well off where you are, provided you're not on the Keys. Florida has great hospitals… it has to; the place is heaven's waiting area!

Hi there !
better remain there only for the time being….
Nowhere else you are going to get that much of quality medical care…
If at all, you decide to move, consider europe, but the quality of medical care, wont be as good as Florida, I am sure.
Never consider Asian area, as they will be affetcted maximum due to global warming…
best wishes !

Live in New Hampshire. They have no hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, floods, droughts, rattlesnakes, fireants, sales and income taxes. Snow…OK, you'll have to shovel out your driveway.
Forget about the midwest and south….freaky weather.

Norway is one of the greenest and healthiest countries in the world right now… so is New Zealand. But good luck getting in, us Yanks are not welcome in most places around the world right now, not to mention getting screwed by the low value of the dollar…

Thanks Dub-ya!

No matter where you go, the predicament we've gotten the planet in won't change. They call it Global for a reason.

We need smart young people to stay here in the good ole US to fight for positive change.

You can run but you can't hide.

Run away and you become part of the problem rather than part of the solution!

Anywhere in interior New England. We won't be affected as much as the other areas of the world by the wildfires and droughts, and the heat waves that are expected to become common across much of the world should lose some of their intensity up here.

I'm a personal fan of Vermont or the Adirondack region of New York. Plenty of small lakes to ensure a good solid water supply, even as global warming intensifies I don't think wildfires will be to severe up there, simply because of the abundance of water, your not in danger from rising sea levels, and if any of these new monster hurricanes global warming is spawning happen to make it up to New England they should weaken by the time they travel far enough inland too the areas around Burlington and Lake Placid.

Plus if you snowboard or ski Stowe and Whiteface are great mountains that may just be lucky enough to still get snow!

Floods (Indian ,China, Queensland, England ,NSW…), tsunami (Pacific coast) earth quakes (Indonesia,C..America) , tornado (NZ), drought (Western Australia), heat wave (Europe) hurricanes (E.US) .. etc etc.
I have lived across 3 continents in my life…Asia , Europe and Australia. I like Australia whether there's global warming or not. Ultimately I don't think anywhere on earth can escape the climate change effects.
Regarding healthcare , we are having federal election tomorrow….that will depend who gets in…..

Canada is a pretty good place to live, even with climate change warming the planet. Our winters are not as cold as they used to be. We do have healthcare up here too.

I live in rochester, ny right now and its a good place. So what, theres snow. Plows and salt trucks are really good at cleanign roads. Shoveling isn't that big of a deal. Plus, if this global warming continues… who knows? Maybe we won't get as much snow as we do now, which isn't that much, in the future…. just something to think about..
