We’re newlyweds and I’m trying to convince my husband that we should explore the country and live somewhere else, just to see what it’s like and have an adventure. I’m voting for Portland, but just curious what other places are great to live! He’s big into fishing and hunting, I’m down for whatever (no place TOO small though)!!

It depends on what you’re looking for, really. You can contact each state’s Dept. of Commerce and they’ll send you free literature about their area, or areas of interest in that state. I know there’s a list somewhere of the Top Twenty States or Towns to live in the United States, but I wouldn’t know where to find it. Every once in awhile there will be an article in a magazine about that. It goes by population, income, home value, schools, job availability, crime and medical care.

It is safe, not a lot of social issues and it is full of newly weds, also it is peaceful.

Haha not compton! I would say Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara are all very nice!! If your east coast, Then Manhattan NY, Key West Florida and Boston are the tops.
