I have never been to an Asian country but I have heard good things about several of them. If I had to choose one I would go with Japan although if I had a ton of money I would like to live in the Philippines but I would have to have lots of money because there is very little opportunity to earn a living there at a decent wage. The only down side is the typhoons. They are hit with typhoons evey year during the typhoon season and being an island nation there really is no place to run when a typhoon is coming. Many people lose their homes and their lives every typhoon season. I also hear Singapore and Thailand are very beautiful places if you know the right areas.

I've lived in Shanghai, China for two years and it was the greatest expirence of my life! I met people from all over the world and got to enjoy many things that others didn't. It is a great place to have a family because it is safe and there are world-class schools. http://www.scischina.org/ (schools all over different parts of Shanghai with teachers from around the world) http://www.shanghai-emerald.com/ (the gated ex-pat community I lived in with many different sizes in houses and great service and safety)

Its the best country in Asia. Women there are just wonderful, sexy like western women but much more sincere and faithful. Life is easy and every thing is available in plenty and at a good price.

The economy is good and growing. It's peaceful and beautiful.
drawbacks: most people live in apartments.
Their educational system has very high standerds so it would be up to you to make sure your kids don't just study all the time. On the plus side… they will be very very smart.
