Better place to live: Ireland or United Kingdom?

by admin on March 2, 2010

I’m currently getting my bachelors in NYC and I’m really considering going to Europe for grad school. Most likely I’ll enter a program that is 1-2 years. Been to Asia, and would love to see what Europe is like. I’m not fluent in anything other than English hence why I’d choose between the two. England has an edge with the better schools but other than that which country would I get the best experience living in?

Both Ireland and UK have great Education systems. But you say you’re only considering them, as you don’t have any other language.

You can actually go and study in a few European countries, with instruction in English, so you don’t need to know the language at all. The countries that I know definitely have University programs in English are:

Belgium
Netherlands
Luxemburg
Denmark
Finland
Sweden
Germany
Malta
Switzerland
Norway

Most of the courses offered in full English Instruction are Bachelor Degrees, Masters and PhD

So if you really want Europe, try one of those countries, also as a bonus, by being in Study there for 2 years you will end up picking up the langauge. So not only will you go home with an extra qualification, you’ll probably go home with a second language too.

Good Luck
