An american sick of america. All anybody cares about is themselves, hollywood, and themselves again. And i wont even start on the president. Who people were stupid enough to elect for a second term.
I can speak english and spanish..but i could learn french easily.
You are so right!! I came to the same conclusion 20 years ago. That country is going down in flames. So my answer: not france because it's as big a mess as the US; Greece is great but expensive (but really great); Spain is on the top of the list and if you speak spanish you're in; Italy is pretty good for food but hard to get work; Denmark is easy but boring, Ireland is truly a sweet place and offers alot of facility for integration; England is a great place to work, crowded; Germany is for Germans; Portugal is delightful and if you are ready to learn a complex language I would recommend it highly, great people, no arrogance; Belgium is the next cool place to be, but it is also very rainy. I live in Belgium, have been trying to leave for 5 years and can't find a better location price/quality/fun. Good luck and know that you are not alone with your disgust of the imperialistic weirdness that you grew up believing was truth. Best to you.

You answered your own question really. Spain is a firm favourite for Brits to holiday and buy property ,and to retire. Cheap living, good weather and plenty of opportunities, especially in the tourist industry. Yep, go for it.

spanish economy is doing really well ;o)
france has a somewhat slower pace of life, it takes some getting to but as long as u dont do anything that involves government u should be fine
otherwise if it involves a government grant in france, u tend to be at their beck and call – one of my friends bought a farm and 'had' to apply for a grant, which had to be used to buy this particular farmers cows and at a set price stated in the grant bcos he had come up in the national lottery farm grant??
very confusing??

Take me with you. I'm ready to leave this place too. I've been talkin to some UK people and some of them ain't happy where they are either. Maybe everyone that's tired of Bush and Blair should just go form our own country in some remote area of Europe?

Oh no…
Not another America hater, please.
Stay, and work to improve things. Activism pays.
Write or call your Sen or Rep. Let them know how you feel.
Write letters to the editor.
Yell if you must. Get involved, make a difference.
Vote for your candidate.
If everyone runs away the leftist nuts will bring a disaster on our collective heads next time around. What you see today is the time-bombs left by Clinton.
ON PURPOSE.
I am a registered Republican and a Buchanan supporter from the 80s but have voted for GWB twice. Irak qould be over today if Shinseki had been listened to, but that's another story.
Go Pat go.

I,m English but now living in the States. I,ve lived all over Europe but the best has to be Southern France. The way of life and the climate is so good. The worst has to be the USA, sorry folks, absolutely no heart and soul or culture, friendly people but absolutely no charm to the towns.

My best place i lived in was France. Dont believe the negative about French, Speak French to them and you will be good friends! Try Dordogne in South Eastern France. Search it on Google.
