Does People who live in Hot country sleep less hours per day than people in cold country?

Just come back from South east Asia…Only need to sleep 6 hours odd and fled fine but now being back in the UK. It is so cold, I need to sleep almost 9 hours..?
Its because your body needs more energy to keep itself warm, so you become more tired out quickly in cold weather, and it is very cold in Britain at the moment, so you will get more tired out and need more sleep.
What are the ups and downs of living in the country of georgia ( in asia)?

I really don’t know, I sleep better when is cold because i can keep warm under my cover, and it makes me more comfortable. Im not sure if thats an answer to sleeping in cold or hot, but its probably alittle of both.
