Why do so many British people retire to different countries?
Post date: September 9th, 2008What countries do they retire to?
Im an American…I am simply curious.
People that retire abroad have lived in a country that was a great place to live, we were once respected throughout the world, Great Britain was Great then, look at it now, one of the highest taxed places in the world, the welfare state utterly ruined by foreigners that have paid in nothing, many pensioners living in poverty, dictated to by foreign religious organisations and being threatened with terrorism because we do not believe what they believe, we even let them stay when they have been caught, speed cameras everywhere waiting for us to make a mistake so that they can take yet more of our hard earned money, too many people here with no limit to how many more will come here.
Those are the reasons that I want to go, The weather here is OK, it is about the quality of life, it is not good here anymore.
What is the best all around country to retire too?

Often somewhere in Europe. Britain has a pretty fast pace of life, many Brits like to retire to places with the sun, such as spain or Italy where things can move more slowly and they can enjoy it more. Kinf of like being on an extended holiday.

probably because they want some sunshine, a slower pace of life ( England is so fast paced and stressfull! ) and to get away from our circus, called the government! xx

Two main reasons. All the horrible immigrants who the older British hate so much, and the weather. Spain is probably the most popu;ar to retire to also Florida.

The main reason is to escape the terrible British weather.

they probubly know that Britain is a bad place nowdays for older folk, they walk down the street, (they get mugged) they stick up for someone whos getting bother,(they get beaten up) they sit at home(they get burgled)…its a fearful place, so they go somewhere for the sun and peace and quiet and somewhere to retire in their old age.The perpetrators get away with murder, nowdays. the law in britain is far too lenient, there is no power, no respect.. and all badness. and there are far too many people in Britain today.
