What should we do with Americans that live in our countries illegally?
There are towns in Mexico filled with American retirees. They come to our countries and retire here. My question is: these people did not live or work here, they did not pay taxes here, they did not make a significant contribution here, but they decided to enjoy our weather, beaches, mountains, people, food, etc. They use our roads, churches, hospitals, libraries, and parks. They also benefit from cheaper prices on medical, dental and vision services. Why, if they did not earn it? Are they entitled because they are Americans?
Yes, might come here legally as visitors, but if they remain here as they do they are also breaking the law. They are becoming illegals. Should they not get the same treatment "illegal aliens" get in the US? after all they are not legal permanent residents of the country they are "visiting". Should they be chased, raided just like immigrants are in the US?
By the way I love America and have a lot of American friends that I also love. I am just curious about the opinions of people who claim to be law abiding citizens and wonder what they think we should do with the aliens we have in our own countries. Yes, there are American illegal aliens in our countries as well.

You could trade them back to the U.S. You could probably get 10,000 illegal mexicans for each illegal american at the current exchange rate.

Yes, they have the right to be there. And yes, they should be treated the same way illegal Mexicans are treated in America. Illegal Mexicans get jobs, free medical, free housing, free food and anything else the government offers. And Americans should get the same in Mexico.

I’m a U.S. citizen born and raised. Kick em’ out…if they are breaking your laws. Check them out if they aren’t. They may be escaping criminal punishment here and if they are give the FBI a call. We want our criminals to pay for their crimes. If they’re not criminals and their visa expired, give them the boot. Our economy needs all the help it can get.
I have a good friend who is a Mexican citizen here in the states illegally. She is getting married to a soldier. She told me that when her husband retires from the military, they are going to move back to Mexico where they can live like Kings there off the income he makes here. This is at least one of your answers.
So, if everything is so wonderful and cheap there, why are your citizens coming here…illegally? Perhaps so they can do the same thing? Especially when they can live off our generous welfare system (lots of free food) and get FREE medical, eye, and dental? And take all of their UNtaxed earnings back to Mexico?
They make a contribution while they’re here too. They burglarize our homes, get involved in gangs, kill people, steal our vehicles, raise our cost of living and insurance rates. And we also pay for it through higher taxes.
Do what you like to our citizens who are there "legally" in the first place and see what happens to your tourism industry.
You hold a grudge against us because you know there is a negative feeling in our country against your citizens. You’re complaining about retirees from here paying for their products and lifestyle in your country. We are complaining about completely illegal people from the start (who also bring drugs into our country)- stealing, killing, and destroying when they get here. We use the same laws against your law breaking citizens that are here as we would our own and you don’t like it because you think you deserve special treatment.
I really don’t care if you have american friends, why didn’t you ask them this question first? Because you hold a grudge against us and that’s not love for America nor your American friends.

How would mexico treat them as we do our illegals? mexico won’t even care for their own people with free health and money and housing and schooling.

Illegal immigration is a problem there, and here in the US.
Just think about it in terms of spending dollars: Retired Americans are going to dump earnings into the Mexican economy without taking any money out.
Mexican workers coming to the US contribute cheap labor to the businesses.
Here is the trouble – the cheap labor actually only benefits the business owners. They don’t pay taxes on the income earned or the wages paid. Goods are produced cheaper but still sold at the same rate.
On top of that – Illegals don’t pay for things like hospital bills here in the US.
Just to make a note: I am a second generation American. My family came here from Italy in the 1930’s. They came here legally and were still thrown out 2 time before being allowed to stay. They assimilated, become citizens and made a contribution. I live in a Mexican district in GA, and know a lot of Mexican people. I think they are all great!
People need to respect immigration laws – They are, after all, laws!

I as that you respect and cherish any immigrant to your country that contributes to the local economy. The only problem I have with immigrants in the US, is that those that send all their money back homme do not hope teh overall economy here. this would be the same in Mexico. If people lived there and earned income there and never spent money in that community, it hurts that community in the long run.
My best friend is Palestinian, and has been living in America for the last 17 years. He has a business here, spends his money here and employs many people and services many more. He is a valued member of the community and the economy, not to mention he is a very caring, funny, and generous person. Now why would I begrudge him because he is not an official legal citizen? He is more an American with traditional American values then many who are called Americans by birth right alone. I welcome and hope for as many people like him to come to this country as is possible. Throughout history it was these people (English, Irish, Italians,Polish, Germans, Chinese, Japanese, etc..)that have made America great.
I think Mexico has a wonderful culture an would love to live their myself. I think the reason I do not is that the government is unstable, crime seems a little rampant, and I do not believe a significant monetary investment there would be safe. I am a simple man who is independently wealthy, I have a lot to offer another community. I respect everyone I meet as an equal, and would love to be part of a rich community based culture like in Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, etc.. As a self respecting person, I have never and would never ask anyone to pay my way. I have always worked hard and gave back to my community. I would only ask that you give me the same respect and kindness that you would ask of me. I will always pay my own way, and would never ask to sponge off the labors of others. Look at each of these people as individuals and then make your judgement is all that I ask. If you find they are good people then enrich the community, then welcome them with open arms and pray more like them come.

yo dude…r u 4 real? The illegal invasion of Mexican immigrants in the USA along with the wars here is breaking this country. Mexicans mooch free medical and every conceivable hand out and act as if we owe them. Some of these Mexicans play Americans. Some can speak English but act like they cannot when it’s there best interest. Many do not even move in shopping isles to allow others to pass by. They receive many things free as our taxpaying citizens are denied what they receive freely. Mexicans come here and mooch having babies free in our hospitals. Many drive with no insurance when the Americans are forced 2 carry insurance. You really need to wake up and get ur facts straight. Watch for the NAU.
